The U8 Yellows team played well and played some fantastic football throughout the team, with Monty getting a brace and a well earned Player of the Match award. Defensively we sat too deep to start with but what really impressed me was how the team learned through the game and listened to advice and by the end Harry, Ollie R and Robert (not all at the same time!), were unbeatable. Ollie A and Jack are starting to develop some excellent footwork and both could have had hat-tricks if the ball didn’t have magnets connected to their goalie!

‘Ron Dog’ and Monty ‘Tekkers’ FF played brilliantly in midfield, covering every blade grass. Harry and Robert had chances from their stints in midfield and were so unlucky to not grab a few themselves. One move that involved Ron Dog and Ollie A, would have made match of the day if it wasn’t for those damn magnets! Very proud of our players today. One person to note as our unsung hero is Ollie R, he is really developing into a fantastic defender and reminds of a young Des Walker!
