Dorkinian Football Club (DFC) and Dorking Cricket Club (DCC) are agree a reciprocal membership rights arrangement

We're delighted that members from both clubs will be able to use the clubhouse and support the bar all year round and we look forward to welcoming some new playing and social members from the cricket club

Dorkinian Football Club (DFC) and Dorking Cricket Club (DCC) are delighted to announce that they have agreed a reciprocal membership rights arrangement between the Senior and Social members of each Club.

Following a substantial renovation of the Pixham Lane Clubhouse, DCC and DFC have reached agreement on a package of membership arrangements designed to ensure that Senior and Social members of DCC and DFC are able to use the Pixham Lane Clubhouse for the entire calendar year.

Further, DCC and DFC have agreed a form of playing membership that entitles a Senior member of one club to try playing for the other club, for a discounted fee. These reciprocal rights have been introduced by DCC and DFC with immediate effect.

DCC Chairman Andy Homewood said:

"With over 300 years of history between these two clubs, it seems we are long overdue bringing them together! We are so proud to be part of this move for both the clubs and the community. Never has encouraging everyones participation in sport all year round been more important; supporting 400 junior members and 150 senior members with football and cricket can only benefit the level of Dorking sport as well as creating health and social benefits for all those in the community."

Richard Sharpe, Chairman of DFC, commented: “It's brilliant that we're working so closely with Dorking Cricket Club and the new membership arrangements are a natural progression of that. We're delighted that members from both clubs will be able to use the clubhouse and support the bar all year round and we look forward to welcoming some new playing and social members from the cricket club”.

DFC and DCC are looking into a similar arrangement with respect to its junior and youth members.

For details of the reciprocal membership rights arrangement please visit the membership page of DFC and DCC respectively, or please contact Alex Wills (in respect of queries relating to DFC) or Andrew Halliday (in respect of queries relating to DCC).
