A great performance from the Chicks, out of the blocks with pace, Levi opened the scoring for Chicks. Loxwood dug deep and the game became much more balanced. The momentum changed several times and both teams responded well.

Chicks showed strong teamwork throughout, and some nice shows of sportsmanship from Henry, he who also took a couple of hard shots, and brushed them off without fuss. Leo M scored the final goal of the game completing his hat-trick. Goals for Leo M (3), Levi (2) and Levi took the Player of the Match. Well played Chicks.

Elstead Sharks U8 Hammerheads v Dorkinians U8 Greens

Great game by the team and one of their best performances by far. What a little team they are becoming, so great watching them develop & super proud of them all.

Ollie B played amazing with great feet and two top notch finishes. Charlie with 3 assists also played his part. Will, Joseph and Arthur had great around play. Roman with another amazing defensive display many times having 2 players taking him on winning the ball. Ollie C with a great captain’s performance and some great saves in goal. Goals for Ollie B (2), Ollie C, Arthur, Will.

Any one of them could Player of the Match but it went to Sonny for an amazing defensive display & also having a good go in goal, even got forward well! Great performance. All round super proud coach. On to next week.

Cranleigh U8 Bears v Dorkinian U8 Eagles

A competitive match today for the Eagles. The kids took a bit of time to get used to the pitch, a big, hockey type, super-fast, astro with lots of space. As the first half went on, we improved and started to make better use of the space. Both teams had a few shots from outside the box, which Eustuce delt well with, but clear-cut chances were at a premium.

We played some of our best football in the 3rd quarter, as we got used to the pitch and our first goal came from Elias winning the ball in defence, playing a good forward pass to Milo, who played a defence splitting cross for Daniel to score. Four minutes from time as Elias won the ball, held off pressure before playing a perfectly weighted through ball, which Daniel ran onto. He used his pace before hitting an unstoppable low driving shot into the far bottom corner. Our Player of the Match was Elias. Congratulations Elias.

Dorkinian U8 Yellows v Farncombe U8 Leopards

Brilliant game all round, against a very good Farncombe team. At times it looked like we would run away with the game, but they kept pulling goals back. A great effort from both teams. Harry put in a sterling performance at the back and topped of a Player of the Match effort with a goal.

Two goals from all action Ronnie and a decent GK performance in the first quarter, he was also denied a hat-trick, when his worldie shot was tipped on to the crossbar. Robert was fantastic at the back when he moved into midfield, he thrived and scored a banger! Ollie A was superb both in goal and on the pitch, with some great passes. The Gerard like Monty bossed it at times and was rewarded with an excellent goal.

Silky skills from a Messi like Jack, dazzled the crowd with his trickery and he got his goal to compliment his performance. The ever-smiling Griff put in a great effort and he made some important interceptions and put in some great forward passes. Finally, Ollie R. This fantastic young man gets better and better every week and he is pleasure to coach.
